Final Algebra II Exhibition
I will be showcasing my quadratics in art project. I would like to argue it as sort of an ultimate summary of the skills I have learned in algebra II, as it showcases my ability to solve relatively complex equations, and graph them. During this project, I learned how to graph points based off a calculator, and reverse a quadratic from a given graph. As such, I think it will be ideal for a proof of learning.
Reflection
For this project, we learned about polynomial equations, and how to graph them. We then demonstrated this capability, and turned that into art. This project was where I really grasped the concept of minimums and maximums (See my Important Information page), and how to use my calculator effectively. If I could start it all over, I’d love to have created a more scenic illustration. Unfortunately, my artistic capabilities are minimal, and what I have is what I have. I’m still proud of it.
If I could exhibit my project again, I'd put more color on the board, and generally try to make it stand out more. I'd also saturate the colors on the illustration to a greater degree. The skill that's the most useful for me this year is learning how to make my calculator do what I want it to do. My weaknesses in math aren't many, so long as I stay practiced in these skills over the summer, I shouldn't be too likely to lose them.
